"Клуб closed exactly one year ago today, on 27 May 2019 at noon. The guests were gone and we stayed for 24 more hours in a close circle of friends. We talked and reflexed some of the time, ate Georgian food and drank chacha, but mostly we just lied down in silence and listened to the sounds of a metalworks factory just over the wall that we simply never noticed before.

Being properly high, we rejoiced at the sudden discovery and awed at how musical the sounds were. I don't know if anyone took this idea seriously at the time, but we decided to record it and release it later. I think our resident DJ Shutta even did – on his phone.

A month later, the German project FvF contacted me and asked to film a feature, including a scene in the closed venue. Should I say that I was allowed inside with a whole filming team, including a professional sound designer? Thus, we recorded a few long bits on proper hardware. It turned out that technology made a leap already and we could do a proper AR trip, but I decided to stick to the classic cassette format.

Our friends JS Aurelius of Marshstepper and Alexei Borisov of Notchnoi Prospekt, both of whom had performed at Kisloty earlier, agreed to edit and master the resulting field recordings.

Once again, life itself has put together an amazing project, and I'm happy to share the results with you."
